Bruce Jackson and Diane Christian will read from and sign copies of their new book, In This Timeless Time as well as discuss the exhibition titled Full Color Depression: First Kodachromes from America's Heartland. The book explores, through pictures and text, life on Death Row in Texas and other states, chronicling the lives and deaths of prisoners facing capital punishment. Bruce Jackson is an American folklorist, documentary filmmaker, writer and photographer and is the James Agee Professor of American Culture at the University at Buffalo. Diane Christian. a poet, scholar of religious literature and documentarian, is SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor at SUNY Buffalo.

Edith Pearlman will read from and sign copies of her collection of new and selected stories, Binocular Vision, which was a finalist for the National Book Award and The Story Prize. This event is co-sponsored by the Hinge Literacy Center (hingeliterary.org). Refreshments will be served. The book spans four decades of Pearlman's prize-winning stories. Edith Pearlman is the recipient of the 2011 PEN/Malamud Award for excellence in the art of short fiction. She has published more than 250 works in national magazines, literary journals, and anthologies, including Best American Short Stories, The PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories, New Stories from the South, and The Pushcart Prize.
